Garden of The Year Competition

Here's Your Chance to Win £150* 

Here's you chance to win the annual Podington Garden Centre 'Garden of The Year'.

The winner in each of the following categories will receive their own engraved trophy, together with the first prize of £150 of Podington Gift Vouchers. Second and third prizes will be awarded as £50 and £25 respectively.

The categories are as follows:

1. Small Gardens
   under 2,800ft² / 260m² or about the size of a tennis court
2. Large Gardens
   over 2,800ft² / 260m²

Your garden will be judged based firstly from the photographs submitted. You should submit a maximum of TWO 6" x 4" photographs to the address below. Alternatively, you may submit digital pictures via email to gardenoftheyear@podington.co.uk.

Your photographs must be submitted to us no later than 27th July 2008. A gardening expert will then visit the best 3 gardens from each category before 3rd August with the winners notified before 4th August 2008.

Podington Garden Centre will donate 50p to the Greenfingers Appeal for each entry into our garden competition. For further details please visit http://www.greenfingersappeal.co.uk/.

COMPETITION RULES:

1. Your garden must be located in the NN and MK postal districts or within 20 miles radius of Podington.
2. There are two categories of garden which you may enter: Small Gardens (under 2800ft2 / 260m2) and Large Gardens (over 2800ft2 / 260m2).
3. Take a maximum of two 6"x4" photographs of your garden to take in the key aspects of your garden and write your name & address together with the category (Small or Large) on the reverse of each photograph.
4. Send (or email) your photographs to Podington Garden Centre before 27th July 2008. Enclose a large stamped addressed envelope if you would like your photographs returned to you after the competition.
5. As many photographs as possible will be displayed at Podington Garden Centre for the duration of the competition.
6. A gardening expert will then visit the 3 best gardens, based on the photographs given, from each category before 3rd August 2008. The winners will be announced by 4th August 2008.
7. Persons involved in the promotion and the execution of the judging, employees of Podington Garden Centre and their relatives are not eligible for entry into the competition.
8. The Judges decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into concerning the result of the competition.
